Sarcomatoid Mesothelioma - The Rarest Cancer

Mesothelioma is a form of cancer often caused by excessive exposure to asbestos, for other reasons not yet known. Mesothelium is the protective lining of internal organs in the form of malignant cells. In most cases, the pleura, the outer lining of the lungs and chest cavity is affected. Mesothelioma of peritoneum (the lining of the abdominal cavity), or pericardium (SAC surrounding the heart) are also common.
